This may be a bit ‘left-field’, but SONIA is a placements system widely used in Australia…….and now has some global reach:
Tribal SITS has only penetrated USyd so far Down Under, so I’m not sure whether SONIA is in use there and/or integrates across but, by this, I’m copying my colleague, Brendon Nelson, Deputy Registrar, in case he can offer any comment.

This is very timely for us – thank you for asking the question.
Although, we are SITS users, we use Abyasa to record ITT placements and then import into SITS in a rather lengthy process. We would be interested to hear how other institutions approach this.

Colleagues,
Another random question to brighten up a dull afternoon!
We are having discussions about the recording of our educational placements ie placements undertaken by students on ITT courses and how/where we should record this information, a
discussion which seems to come around every few years but which, with Data Futures, now has more prominence!
Is anyone out there using SITS to record such placement activity?
If you are a SITS User, but don’t use SITS to record this information, what system/process do you use?
