Dear colleagues and friends,


It's just to remind you for sending your contributions (Abstracts/Papers) to the Session: "From Macroscopic to Molecular Methods and Techniques: A Discussion On Tools for the Study of Archaeofaunal Remains" (Organizers: Albérico N. de Queiroz, Rosa C.C. L. de Souza, Olivia A. de Carvalho) that will be presented during the 13th ICAZ International Conference to be held in Ankara (Turkey) from 2nd to 7th September 2018.


We intend to have a large debate about current, new methods and techniques applied on zooarchaeological and environmental investigations, and also discussing many results from case studies.


Steps for Abstract submissions: In order to be able to submit a abstract/paper or poster presenters need to create an account in the conference website (http://www.icaz2018ankara.com/user/login.aspx). Creating an account does not incur any fees. Fees will be paid by the participants who will come to Ankara to present their abstract/papers and/or posters. Co-authors who will not come to Ankara do not have to pay fees. To see a list of sessions, select "Sessions" on the left side of this page. Then, just access 13th ICAZ 2018 (http://www.icaz2018ankara.com/user/acceptedsessions.aspx<http://www.icaz2018ankara.com/user/acceptedsessions.aspx>)+click on the chosen session "From Macroscopic to Molecular Methods and Techniques: A Discussion On Tools for the Study of Archaeofaunal Remains"+click on "Details" and after click on "Submit an Abstract". Deadlines: Abstracts/Papers and Poster proposals (5th Februay to 30th March 2018). Review of Abstracts/Papers by session organizers and announcement of approval 15th April 2018. Instructions for Presenters: Presenters who wish to submit a abstract/paper or poster presentation should apply through the website directly to sessions most closely matching the content of their presentation. Each presenter should submit no more than 2 abstract/papers and/or posters with his/her name as first author. Co-authors in abstracts/papers reserve their right to submit themselves other abstracts/papers (also up to 2) with their name as first author. Submission should include title, abstract of 200-250 words and 3-5 keywords. Sessions will have the format of paper presentations (20 min max.) and may also include poster presentations. If no session matches their paper/poster content, they can submit to the “general session”. Abstracts/Papers and posters will be evaluated by each session organiser/s. Papers/posters submitted to the “general session” are evaluated by the Scientific Committee of the conference. The same abstract/paper or poster cannot be submitted to more than one session. Nevertheless, abstracts/papers or posters rejected by individual sessions can be re-submitted to the “general session” after sessions’ participants are announced at the website.
