Hi Aran,

Thanks a lot for sharing about this wonderful opportunity. I was wondering if you could also provide any details about the pay grade / salary figure, since the job specification doesn't offer any further information either.

Thanks a ton!

Best,
Siddharth Kankaria

Hi all,

I am leaving my current post at Shoreditch-based startup Science Practice for a new job in events - and they are looking to take on someone new! Job spec available here: http://www.science-practice.com/blog/2018/03/23/researcher-scicomms/

The job is with the fantastically named Good Problems Team, and involves a mix of doing research into different areas of science and technology (both desk-based and through interviews and workshops with experts) and synthesising the findings information into simple, engaging reports. I've worked on some really cool projects during my time here, including helping the government decide how to spend some of their international aid budget and supporting a national public engagement campaign (the Flying High Challenge) designed to help UK cities start using drones in urban settings. We're also looking to start running training workshops, and they're in need of someone to run their comms (think blogs, social media, comms strategies etc), so there's lots of opportunity for great communications/engagement/events experience here.

On top of that, the people you'd be working with are awesome (I'm very sad to leave) and the pay is great!

Happy to answer any other questions you might have - and good luck if you choose to apply!

Best,
Aran Shaunak
