'Making It On and Off Screen: Work, Inclusion and Diversity in UK Film'

Improving diversity and representation across the film and screen industries has never been higher on the agenda. But how can creators, businesses, funders and cinema-goers in the UK encourage more diversity on and off screen?

The evening will include:

*        The public launch of the BFI Workforce Diversity in the UK Screen Sector<http://www.bfi.org.uk/education-research/film-industry-statistics-research/reports/workforce-diversity> report

*        A screening of The Acting Class<https://theactingclass.info/trailer/> (2017) - a documentary about class barriers in the acting industry

*        A Q&A with the film's directors Deirdre O'Neill and Mike Wayne, a representative from the BFI and Birmingham-based actress Aimee Powell (BBC, Birmingham Repertory)
