Those of us who are left-handed have learned to adapt to your world and move amongst you mostly unnoticed.

Very definitely a real issue! What makes you think it isn't Mike?!

David - there are a few more articles on <shush> Google, and a report from the Royal College of Midwives about midwives position during birth that might be of interest?

I should think it is, in fact, an issue for the left handed midwife, hence the query.

Perhaps because it isn't a real issue?

Hi All,

I've been asked by a student to help find sources on left-handed midwifery for a literature review. We can only find two articles:

British Journal of Midwifery (2016); 24(9): 656-659.
Should left-handed midwives and midwifery students conform to the 'norm' or practise intuitively?
Power, A; Quilter, J

British Journal of Midwifery (2009); 17(9): 588-592.
Clinical skills: issues affecting the left-handed midwife.
Chapman, V

Has anybody else ever been asked a similar question? Do you know of any other resources I could recommend? I can't believe that this is all that is out there!

Thanks in advance,
David
