Apologies for cross-posting Archivist & Records Manager (P-T - 7.5 hours per week) Murray Edwards College is seeking to appoint an Archivist and Records Manager to undertake tasks which support the effective delivery of archive and records management services to College members and visitors as required. Main duties: cataloguing pending and new archival accessions, making archive material available to researchers, College staff and fellows, responding to archive enquires, preparing exhibitions of archival material for College events as required, maintaining the semi-current records store database and creating and updating records retention schedules. Candidates must be graduates with a Post Graduate qualification in Archives and/or Records Management. With experience in an archivist or records management role, he/she will have knowledge of the principles and practice of archiving and records management. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is knowledge of key relevant legislation, along with the strong IT and organisational skills. This role is for 7.5 hours per week. Currently this is a Wednesday, but can be any weekday in order to fit in with other part-time work.
