The purpose of the position is to make a leading contribution to maintain and manage a new state-of-the-art X-ray CT facility with an in-situ deformation and temperature cell for OGIC collaborative HEI-Industry projects and undertake research related to the CT facility working with Dr. Daniel Koehn (Glasgow University) and Dr. Andrea Hamilton (Strathclyde). Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in analysis of X-ray CT data sets and experimental techniques. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
