Outstanding applicants are sought for the post of Research Associate who will carry out high-quality research leading to the development of numerical methods for the analysis of unsaturated soils. The focus of the appointment will be in the development of finite element approach for the coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical behaviour of unsaturated soils. The developed code will take into account thermal expansions of soil skeleton and soil particle, Soret effect, phase transition between water and vapour, air dissolution in pore water, and deformation of soil skeleton.
