The Department of History and Ethnology of the School of Classics and
Humanities, Democritus University of Thrace, in collaboration with the
Institute of Balkan Studies, and Centre of Thracology, Bulgarian
Academy of Sciences is organizing an International Conference on 12-14
October in Komotini, Greece
Theme: Greece and Bulgaria: Parallels and intersections in history and culture
We invite proposals for individual papers in all areas of studies on
Greek-Bulgarian relations.
The topics may include any aspect of economy, politics, and culture
with a broad chronological span from Antiquity to present.
Contributions are encouraged from disciplines including (but not
limited to): history, archaeology, literature, ethnology and art.
PhD students are particularly encouraged to apply.
The Conference aims to contribute to the development of
Greek-Bulgarian studies and to promote future academic cooperation.
