Call for Special and Regional Issues Editor

‘Social Policy and Administration’ has the following opportunity to join the editorial team as ‘Special and Regional Issues Editor’. We are looking for an experienced scholar with an international profile and international networks, and who has editorial experience.

The journal is the longest established journal in its field, and is international in scope. Quality contributions are received from scholars world-wide and cover social policy issues not only in Europe but in the USA, Canada, Australia and Asia Pacific. Whilst remaining faithful to its tradition in academic excellence, the journal also seeks to engender debate about topical and controversial issues. It received an Impact Factor of 1.239 in the recent Web of Science 2016 Journal Citation Report release.

The Special and Regional Issues Editor will be responsible for commissioning a line-up of high quality, topical special and regional issues. At present there is one special issue and two regional issues per volume and recent themes have covered Nordic and Baltic welfare states and changes in labour markets. He or she will report to the Editorial Board and the Wiley Publishing Manager on the special and regional issue pipeline at annual meetings, where the board decides the theme for the special issue. The Special Issues Editor will be a full member of the Editorial Board.

We will negotiate with the Special and Regional Issue Editor elect when their term of office would begin.
