Business Development Manager

 

Our client, a top Academic publisher is looking for a Business Development Manager to promote their rapidly expanding STM journals portfolio. You will be joining a growing team at an employer renowned for training and development.  Reporting to the Head of Commercial Sales, you will promote the profile of the portfolio in the pharmaceutical industry and medical communication publications, with the specific aim of facilitating the submission of unsolicited industry papers, and therefore increasing APC revenue.

 

In this role you will:

 

·         Review clinical trials and pharmaceutical developments in order to match them with pertinent journal in the portfolio

·         Organise meetings with medical communication organisations and pharmaceutical publication planners to present the portfolio, along with members of the sales team or editorial team

·         Attend conferences

 

This is a unique opportunity for someone with previous experience in journals publishing. You will have a strong interest in biomedical content and have either a sales, business development or editorial background. You will have a confident manner to represent the company at conferences and familiarity with the Medical Communications or Pharmaceutical industries.
