1 March 2018

1.00pm – 4.00pm followed by networking

Institute of Physics, 80 Portland Place London W1B 1NT

We would like to invite members of the PSI Com list to attend the launch of the LGBT+ physical sciences survey, the first UK and Ireland survey of the working, teaching and studying climate for LGBT+ physicists, astronomers and chemists and those in related sciences.

There will be speakers from the community sharing their perspectives on the successes and challenges of creating a climate that enables everyone to be fully themselves in the workplace and place of study. There will also be the opportunity to find out more about the survey, meet other members of the network over drinks and snacks and celebrate the launch for this important piece of research.

Full details of the speakers and programme are available via the registration links but if you would be kind enough to raise awareness of this event via any channels you might have it would be much appreciated.

Registration can be made via https://lgbtclimate.eventbrite.co.uk or the IOP calendar site which requires registration.

This event is open to anyone with an interest in furthering equality in the sciences or who considers themselves to be part of the LGBT+ physical sciences community or ally who has an interest in supporting the aims of this research. There is also an LGBT+ physical sciences network that we keep up to date with news and events and details of how to join are in this link.

If anyone has any questions, I am more than happy to respond by telephone or email.

With kind regards

Angela
