Ideally, the candidate will have a professional background in meteorology and/or climate science and a good understanding of effective communication techniques and platforms. You will enjoy creating captivating campaigns, content and organising outreach events for all our audiences, such as students, scientists and the general public. It is a varied role; in any one day you may be planning a communication activity with the climate science group, attending an event, posting on social media and/or writing articles for theWeather Club. You will also be involved in longer-term strategic projects, such as membership development and the Society’s professional accreditation schemes. Joining the Society for this one-year post will enhance your knowledge and significantly grow your network within the weather and climate science community.
