Preparations are underway for the 16th consecutive conference on clinical biomechanics at the Staffordshire University Campus, Stoke on Trent (26-28 April 2017).  This year's conference will incorporate the Second UK Footwear Science Meeting.

The conference will start on Thursday (26th) with a focus on "Inter professional Approaches to Strength and conditioning". The speakers include Dr Nick Grantham. This meeting will be offered as a free workshop for all Staffordshire University Biomechanics Alumni and for delegates who register for the whole conference.

Friday (27th) will be the footwear meeting which will provide a forum for dissemination of work relating to scientific aspects of footwear development. Dr Martyn Shorten will deliver a keynote lecture.  Invited speakers include: Dr Jonathan Sinclair, University of Central Lancashire and Dr Helen Branthwaite, Staffordshire University.

Saturday (28th) will feature all aspects of clinical biomechanics and musculo skeletal practice. Professor Vincent Hetherington will deliver a keynote lecture. Invited speakers include: Dr Martyn Shorten, Professor Rami Abboud.

Authors are invited to submit abstracts for open sessions, for consideration for oral or poster presentations. Short abstracts are to be submitted by e-mail to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> by 20th February 2018

The text should be limited to two pages of A4, with the first page to include the Title of Presentation, Author(s), Corresponding Author's Name, Address, Telephone number and e-mail address. Second page should include a full abstract with introduction, methodology, results and discussion.

Acceptance of abstracts will be communicated to the corresponding author by: 28th February, 2018
