This position provides a unique opportunity to work on both experimental and computational aspects of the project. The main responsibilities include designing and performing experiments on thermal decomposition of flavoring compounds using various organic analytical techniques, carrying out electronic structure calculations and kinetics modeling of thermal decomposition of flavoring compounds, summarizing and reporting the data. Other responsibilities include guiding and advising graduate and undergraduate student researchers, and writing scholarly papers and grant proposals.
