Apologies for cross-posting

Join CILIP South West Member Network for its AGM and Members' Day on Friday 6 April - it's free for CILIP members. This year's theme is data and open data and should appeal to library and information workers across sectors. 
 
The AGM will be followed by a mixture of presentations and practical exploration led by:

Dr Beverly Hawkins, Unlimited Value Project (http://blogs.exeter.ac.uk/unlimitedvalue/about/ ) - talking about the Unlimited Value Project research, focusing on staff development aspects
Dave Rowe, Libraries Hacked (www.librarieshacked.org ) - looking at open data and maps
David Ball (davidballconsulting.co.uk ) - discussing open access, open data and the challenges and potential it presents for changing the research process (to be confirmed)
