Subject: [lis-e-resources] Problem when linking to ScienceDirect from our EBSCO Full Text Finder menu via the extranet

Hi all,

Not sure whether anyone can help with the following query as I’m not having much luck resolving it via our IT Services team or the supplier (not for the want of trying on the latter’s part).

We’ve got an issue with the display of the ScienceDirect screen when linking from Scopus (or Web of Science) via Full Text Finder using the extranet – the problem is occurring in both Internet Explorer and Chrome.

Please see below for an example:-

[Please note that the full article title is ‘Are land use and short time climate change effective on soil carbon compositions and their relationships with soil properties in alpine grassland ecosystems on Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau’]

2.    Click on the ‘Full-text@CranfieldUni’ link referred to below

3.    Click on the ‘View this article at Science Direct’ link in EBSCO Full Text Finder:-

The link referred to above takes me to the error screen reported

The above screen is displaying as expected when linking from on-site or going straight to Scopus and logging in via Shibboleth before linking to the Full Text Finder menu (this is slightly convoluted but might be our only alternative).

Has anyone else experienced this problem and been able to satisfactorily resolve it?

Thanks for any assistance that you can provide.

Best wishes,

Helen
