Hi all – thought this might be of interest to many – an opportunity to win a 3D printer for your setting!

Paul at Ultimaker is a great guy, and I enjoyed working with him when I was at the Crafts Council.

A Huge Thank You!

Paul Croft

Director, Ultimaker GB Ltd

Just over four years ago, after a lot of consultation with educators about how to embed new technologies in the classroom, we launched the CREATE Education Project to make 3D printing accessible to everyone.

By collaborating with many pioneering teachers and working with a group of superb Ambassadors, Makerspaces, Hub leaders and Industry Partners we'd like to think we've made a positive contribution to addressing the skills gap in the UK and beyond. There really is no substitute for seeing students eyes light up when they realise the potential Industry 4.0 technologies such as 3D printing have to offer and that they can take control of their own futures.

There's far too many people to tag to say thanks directly so I hope this post acts as a small token of my appreciation for supporting the CREATE Education Project. If you've not got involved please get in touch!

To say THANK YOU I want to do something for the community and give away 5 Ultimaker Original kits and with them the opportunity to build it with my team. All you need to do is post a video online using the hashtag CREATEYOUR3DFUTURE saying 'How you'd change the world with a 3D printer' and send a link to [log in to unmask] The winners will be selected and shared online. If you're an educator, parent, uncle, aunty, governor, policy maker or anybody who wants an education institution to receive a free Ultimaker 3D printer and some great STEAM learning opportunities please share this and let us see your ideas before 31/3/18.

Here's to another 4 years!

Thanks again,

Paul
