Dear Gemmers,

I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice?  I'm running a session for yrs 5s in a couple of weeks where they are going to be able to interview some volunteers about their experiences as children in WW2.  The volunteers have amazing stories to tell, and I think it could be really exciting.  I've not run anything similar before though and I wondered if anyone who had had any suggestions on how to keep the session flowing successfully, and how to keep all the pupils engaged.  I have some replica items and  images to stimulate discussion, but I'm not convinced this will keep the class' interest for an hour.  Would you break the class into smaller groups, and how directive would you be during the questioning?  Any other tips gratefully received.

Many thanks

Kate
