Dear GEM,

Here at the Crafts Council we’re gearing up for Hey Clay! (http://www.craftscouncil.org.uk/what-we-do/hey-clay/), our annual ceramics festival. Our young people’s group is keen to run their own event this year, and we are looking for a venue to host them. The group are aged 16- 25, and have worked with us on a range of projects, including workshops for family audiences.

The group would like to pick an artist to work with, develop a session, and deliver it to families during the festival weekend (23-25 March). We would pay for materials, the young people’s expenses, and a ceramics artist to work alongside them, as well as sending a member of staff along to support the team.

We’d need a friendly venue in London with an existing family audience and suitable workshop space that could host and promote the event through their networks. In exchange you'd get an extra treat for your visiting families! If anyone might be able to help please let me know.

Best wishes,
Zoe

P.S we're still accepting applications from venues across the UK who'd like to be part of the festival— please see our website for details: http://www.craftscouncil.org.uk/what-we-do/hey-clay/
