Hi,

We have a raffle ticket system too, no problems with it so far.

Many Thanks
Rachel

Please note that mobile phones and smartwatches are not permitted into Examination Rooms, please remind your students that they must hand their mobile phone/smartwatch into the Examinations Team for safe keeping before their examination. Anyone found to have a mobile phone/smartwatch in an examination will be jeopardising their examination.

Hi Sarah

On our really big exam days we use a raffle ticket system but the system is managed by Reception so that no bags/phones/watches enter the exam room(s).

Regards
Lorna

Subject: How do you deal with large numbers of mobile phones?

Hi everyone

With the new rules surrounding wrist watches in exams, it's made us think about mobile phones (again)

Our largest venue houses 264 students and there is no room for bags in the exam room. We expect that every student has a mobile phone and they no longer have access to a locker here at college. In the past we have operated a raffle ticket/sandwich bag system for students who want an invigilator to look after their phone at the front of the room. However, 264 is a lot of phones to look after if they are all handed in and a huge responsibility for an invigilator to take on.

I just wondered if anyone had any other ideas of how the mobile phone (and other unauthorised items) system can be managed in the above circumstances , with such large numbers involved?

Many thanks
Sarah
