It's not such an original or unusual thing to say. The difference with Olson is the weight he puts on it etc. and the ramifications of that. I have trouble with it though, as I do with any abstractions regarding such a difficult concept as energy - it can lead to some intellectual nonsense yet at the same time we know that it psychologically works, or can work, and work very well. Belief in anything changes the fundamentals of your writing.
