Full-time open ended contract subject to fixed term funding. Funding
is available until 31 March 2022
In this position you will provide expert input into statistical aspects of research studies and undertake specialist
statistical analysis of data from a range of studies including clinical trials, laboratory and genetic studies, within the NIHR Leicester Cardiovascular Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and Department of Cardiovascular Sciences at Glenfield Hospital. This
may involve working with national and international collaborators. You will provide statistical input and analytical expertise in the preparation of scientific papers for publication and research grants. You will provide training in statistical methodology
to scientists and researchers within the BRC. You will identify and establish novel analytical methods for the benefit of the Centre and pursue independent research projects if appropriate.
The Leicester BRC - Cardiovascular Theme aims to improve the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. It provides state-of-the-art facilities, equipment and staff
to assist researchers in their complex projects and is one of 20 Centres around England funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), a strategic research funding body within the NHS. Leicester BRC is a partnership between the University of
Leicester and University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
