Dear Collective Mailbase,

We have a fully functional PerkinElmer Lambda 25 UV/VIS spectrophotometer which we are using alongside a bespoke-written piece of software which analyses, calculates, and reports CSF bilirubin results/interpretation in line with the ‘Revised national guidelines for analysis of cerebrospinal fluid for bilirubin in suspected subarachnoid haemorrhage’ Cruickshank et al  Ann Clin Biochem 2008; 45: 238–244. DOI: 10.1258/acb.2008.007257.

I would be very interested to hear from users who use a stand-alone programme which is not NorthStar Bio-C UVIKON software, in terms of ease of use, spectrophotometer compatibility, software support & compliance with the above guidelines/algorithm for reporting etc.

Many thanks in advance

Angie
