Dear Rachel,
I was about to offer some of the information that Manuel has already put forward. Any Spanish academic will be absolutely aware of ANECA since they all have to undergo an extremely rigorous (and soul destroying) accreditation process in order to teach in high education. I know of cases where teaching positions are going unfilled because those teaching for many years cannot get accredited.
In the absence of a reliable translation, you may as well offer the document in its original format as most Spanish academics would be able to read English, if not proficiently speak. Since it applies to the UK context I don’t think this can be considered ethnocentric.
Finally, a word of caution about the terminology of academic positions as these do not correlate in English:
Professor – Catedrático
Lecturer – Profesor

Thank you so much for the link Manuel. I will have a look and talk to my Spanish colleagues about what they know about the agency.
Best Wishes,
Rachel

Blast from the past! Even though I have worked in UK HE for the best part of 20 years I come originally from Palencia, not far from León.
Your best point of reference is the Spanish National Agency for the Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation. They have plenty of information on their website both in English and Spanish:
Particularly useful for you http://www.aneca.es/eng/
Evaluation-Activities/PEP on staff evaluation criteria (although I think that the documents there are only in Spanish)
It’s quite a new agency in academic terms (operating since 2002 I think) and many of their programmes are only a couple of years old, so I imagine plenty of academic staff in Spain won’t be familiar with the changes that the agency is trying to instigate or indeed with the concept of a professional framework.
Best regards,
Manuel

Subject: UKPSF in Spanish
Dear all,
Does anyone have or know of a version of the UKPSF in Spanish? I can't see anything on the HEA website. I am presenting at the University of Leon in Northern Spain next week about what constitutes 'Good Practice' in HE teaching and learning and thought it might make a helpful discussion point.
If anyone has attempted anything similar in the past, or in other contexts. I would be interested to hear about it. I have seen the HEA Case Study about integrating Maori Values, this is more of an introduction to the concept of a professional framework which as far as I and my contacts are aware, doesn't exist in the Spanish system.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or advice,
Rachel
