Dear colleagues

University College Birmingham  is looking to appoint a hard-working, enthusiastic and proactive individual to be the first port of call supporting the delivery of a broad range of online services as part of the dedicated Library team.

Working in collaboration with colleagues, as well as the University’s IT, e-Learning and academic teams, you will ensure that the online resources and library systems support the learning needs of students and staff across the institution.

In addition to experience of working with relevant online systems and e-resources, you will have excellent customer service and communication skills in order support enquiries, effectively resolve issues and develop/deliver user training. You will be organised, have the ability to work using your own initiative and as part of a team in a busy environment.

Flexibility with regards pattern and location of work (across UCB’s main teaching and learning sites) are essential. University College Birmingham strongly encourages its staff to engage in continuous professional development in order to maintain skills and standards. Full support will be provided to the post-holder in respect of professional updating.
