The following event is being held on the 21st of February hosted by the London Information & Knowledge Exchange (LIKE) at The Sir Christopher Hatton, 4 Leather Lane, London, from 18.15-21.00.
Exploring the digital workplace
The 'digital workplace' is a term and concept which has grown in popularity over the last two to three years. It is now being used by consultancies, vendors and by some intranet and IT teams. What is it and what does the 'digital workplace' look like in 2018?
In this session, Steve Bynghall will cover:
- what the digital workplace is (and whether it's actually really a new concept or not)
- how intranets are adapting to become the gateway to the wider digital ecosystem
- how some workplace technologies are becoming commoditised
- the current obsession about digital assistants, bots, artificial intelligence and natural language processing, and what organisations are doing in this space
- developments around microservices, APIs and data which underpin the digital workplace
- the potential implications for information services of all of the above.
