With apologies for cross posting, we are currently recruiting for an Academic Support Librarian.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Warwick University’s team of Academic Support Librarians, who work directly with academic departments to support
their teaching, learning and research needs. The team was commended in the University’s recent Institutional Teaching and Learning Review and was awarded Highly Commended in the University’s 2017 Staff Awards for its work in enhancing the student experience.
You will work with colleagues across the institution to develop new and distinctive ways of supporting students and academic colleagues with their information needs, to continue to embed information skills into the curriculum through initiatives such as the
‘Student as Researcher’, and to work with the academy to grow the Talis Aspire Reading List programme. You will support students and researchers in Business and Economics and will have liaison responsibility for Warwick Business School.
This is a full time, permanent post suitable for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with excellent communication and relationship building skills along with the ability to confidently deliver effective, embedded information literacy to both large
and small groups.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, will be in possession of (or working towards) a recognised postgraduate qualification
in librarianship or information management or equivalent and will have relevant experience in an academic or specialist information service setting.
Salary Scale: £29,799-£38,833
