There are a few places remaining on the Introduction to Economic Evaluation short course taking place from 5-7 March at Bristol Medical School, University of Bristol.

The aim of the course is to provide an introduction to the theory and practice of economic evaluation in health care. Participants will be able to recognise the role of economic evaluations and when conducting one may be appropriate; critically appraise the methods and approaches taken in economic evaluations; and evaluate how economic results may influence real-world decision-making.

This course is aimed at clinicians, public health specialists and researchers who are, or will be, involved in research projects that evaluate the cost-effectiveness of health care. The course will also be useful for professionals who would like a better understanding of the quality and clinical practice implications of economic evaluations published in medical literature.

Please note: No previous experience or knowledge of economics is required. There will be opportunities for course participants to discuss and develop planned and ongoing research topics. Experience of using Microsoft Excel is useful for some practical sessions.
