The post-doc will be involved mainly in research and will participate in the Geo-information Technology and Governance research programme. Tasks include publishing and (co-)editing papers for authoritative international scientific journals, writing and presenting conference proceedings, and (co-)producing national professional publications. The main research topics focus on:<br />• Spatial databases (SQL, NoSQL, big data, distributed and parallel spatial data processing), <br />• Information modelling (formal semantics, reasoning, standardisation, UML, RDF/OWL, linked data), <br />• Geoweb services (protocols, sensor networks, streaming data, encodings, web-visualisation).<br />There is also the opportunity to be involved in some GEO-ICT education.
