Carolina Biological Supply Company offers a wide range of preserved insects etc. Their resin mounts should be ideal.

You’ll just have to take care to avoid non-native species as it’s an American company.

Hello All,

I am in the process of planning and putting into place a number of new school sessions, one of which is based around mini-beasts. We have plenty of insects, spiders and more hiding on our site but I would like to source some mounted common insects that could be found by children on a bug hunt so that they definitely get to see some insects even if they fail to find more than woodlice during the session.

Can anyone help me with where I could source such a thing? I have had a look online but many of the search results are for more exotic butterflies and insects

Many thanks

Jo
