Should have mentioned this then, but I dod not have the full details.
I have received this enquiry from Jazz Lall, the Quality Co-ordinator at Arden University, who is looking for External Examiner for a number of programmes, including those in Computing and I thought that you might be best placed to consider
it put it out to your network. Jazz can be contacted direct, though I also know something about the institution:
We are looking for more external examiners across undergraduate and postgraduate Business programmes (HR, Management, Project Management, and Marketing), undergraduate and
postgraduate Computing programmes (general Computing, Data Analytics, Cyber Security, and Telecoms), and undergraduate Law.
I have attached the External Examiner handbook. Most of the work is done online or via email, external examiners will be given access to iSystem to do the sampling and moderation
and the approval of exam papers will be done via email. They will be expected to attend a number of subject and awards boards every year in person or via Skype (the number of boards depends on the programme and on what modes and where it is being run, it
also depends on the number of external examiners as the more we have the more we can spread the workload).
The annual fee is £1400. For Arden programmes it is paid annually, for ARU they are paid quarterly (we need external examiners for both Arden and ARU, but if they send their
CV in we will decide whether to nominate them for Arden or ARU depending on their background (ARU has quite specific requirements) and the needs of the company.
