Socio-Economic, Environmental, and Regional Aspects of a Circular Economy (CE)

International Conference for the 75th Anniversary of DTI (Transdanubian Research Institute, Institute for Regional Studies, CERS HAS) 19-20 April, 2018 (Pécs – Hungary)

We invite paper proposals for the international conference on Circular Economy from different disciplines.

Abstract submission deadline: 25th January, 2018

More information at: http://dti75.rkk.hu

The concept of circular economy would contribute to “closing the loop” of product lifecycles through greater recycling and re-use, and bring benefits for both the environment and the economy. The plans will extract the maximum value and use from all raw materials, products and waste, fostering energy savings and reducing Green House Gas emissions. The circular economy is also restorative and regenerative by design, and aims to keep flows, products, components, and materials at their highest utility and value at all times.

Indeed is it so simple? Is it really something new or just another “mode” of environmental related approach? Is it only about products and design or do we need old/new approaches from different side of the society?

Do you have more questions or answers? Would you like to discuss the issue? Than save the date (19-20 April, 2018) and tell us what do you think! ( And also celebrate with us :) )

What we can provide you:

-          Key-note speakers with different disciplinary background (e.g. Prof. Dr. Arjan van Timmeren (TU Delft); Marit H. Heller (NMBU); Prof. Dr. Andrásfalvy Bertalan (professor emeritus, PTE, DTI); Dr. Pomázi István (OECD, NGM); Prof. Dr. Henning Wilts (Wuppertal Insitute) and many others.
