CALL FOR PAPERS Financial Technology (Fintech) and the Spatial Economy Global Conference on Economic Geography, 24-28th July 2018, University of Cologne Organizers: Dariusz Wójcik (University of Oxford) and Eric Knight (University of Sydney) "Fintech" is a relatively new term that is being applied to the convergence of finance and technology to facilitate the creation of innovative financial products and services. The intersection of these two sectors has profound implications for the spatial economy and has a long history. This session seeks papers that wish to explore the economic geography and spatial dimensions of the fin tech economy and emerging issues. Empirical studies are encouraged, but theoretical papers are also welcomed.
