2018 RGS-IBG Annual Interational Conference: Call for session proposals for sponsorship by the Energy Geographies Research Group

The Energy Geographies Research Group (EnGRG) invites proposals from those who wish their session to be sponsored/co-sponsored by EnGRG at the 2018 RGS-IBG Annual International Conference.

The conference will take place at Cardiff University in Cardiff from Tuesday 28 to Friday 31 August 2018, with workshops and opening events on Tuesday 28 August 2018.

EnGRG welcome session proposals relating to any aspect of energy geographies, including those that engage directly with the theme of this year’s conference: Geographical landscapes / changing landscapes of geography.

EnGRG can sponsor up to 12 sessions. Sessions are scheduled into timeslots of 1 hour 40 minutes long, with a session not normally occupying more than two timeslots in the conference programme.

If you would like to have your session sponsored by EnGRG, please submit your proposal to Neil Simcock ([log in to unmask]) by Wednesday 10 January. We will confirm sponsorship promptly in January. Please include in your session proposal the following details:

·         A title

·         Names, affiliations and email addresses of the session convenors

·         A session abstract (about 200-300 words), and up to five keywords

·         Session format - we welcome both traditional and innovative/interactive sessions. Further details on possible session formats are available here: http://www.rgs.org/WhatsOn/ConferencesAndSeminars/Annual+International+Conference/Call+for+sessions+papers+and+posters/Conference+session+formats

·         If you plan to utilise the traditional format of presentations followed by questions, please indicate how many high quality papers you think you will attract (usually 4 or 5 fit into a timeslot).
