Dear Colleagues,

This year we will be organizing a complete track on HERITAGE at the annual congress of the Association of European Schools of Planning. The scope of the track is set out to accommodate a wide range of contributions, including exploration of heritage within the context of planning in addition to other contributions that seek to cross borders between the field of planning and heritage, and contributions that critically engage with ‘heritage’ in theory and practice. We are interested in receiving contributions in the form of ‘traditional’ academic papers, short reflections and/or encouraging provocations, upon a range of issues, including, but not limited to:
·       Heritage as spaces of hope;
·       Urban displacement, marginality and punishment;
·       Untold and silenced pasts in neoliberal urban development;
·       Heritage from below, empowerment and resistance;
·       Heritage and justice in cities;
·       New heritages beyond the conventional orthodoxy;
·       New language of optimism and hope in/through heritage and planning;
·       Risks and opportunities driven by alternative politics of heritage-making.

 More on the heritage track at http://www.trippus.se/eventus/userfiles/88848.pdf

AESOP congress invites proposal for roundtables on specific themes that relate to heritage or to any of the conference tracks.

Deadline for abstract is 15th January 2018!

Attached is a printer-friendly cfp for you to share with your networks.

Best wishes
