Dear all,
With apologies for cross-posting.
Here in Swansea University, we use Blackboard (Release 3100.0.6-rel.3+cd2a24d) and have learn and community. We are finding that we are developing more and more CPD training and housing it in Blackboard. What we would like to be able
to do is to use some form of workflow that will generate an email when a user has completed part (or all) of a course?
I’m aware of the adaptive release functionality, but not sure if, or how, it could be adapted to generate an email to a specified address.
As an example, we are designing some online, self-paced training on our lecture recording software, e-Stream. We would like users to go through how to record a lecture and how to upload that lecture to Blackboard, and once these two activities
have been completed then we’d like to generate an email to activate that user’s e-Stream account. In an ideal world, I’d like to automate the reply too, but I’m not holding my breath for that one just yet. We would manually need to activate the e-Stream
account so it’s not a big issue if we need to generate the reply manually.
Is there anything that would support such a process? Either built in, a building block or an LTi?
We currently use Microsoft Exchange, and have Office 365. I’m aware that there is Microsoft Flow as part of that package, but I’m not sure if it works with Blackboard as yet.
Many thanks in advance for your replies.
Helen
