King’s College London MRC Skills Development Fellowship (SDF) Programme

King’s has recently been awarded a SDF programme led by
Professor Cathryn Lewis and the call is open for applications. These three-year Fellowships are aimed at training the next generation of research leaders.
We are particularly keen to encourage fellows from the quantitative disciplines
(mathematics, statistics, computer sciences, and physics) who wish to apply their skills to problems in medical research.

Fellows will develop a research project in collaboration with their chosen Academic Sponsor at King’s College London, who can be any member of academic staff at the university. Research
proposals should fit within one of the following areas of medical research in which King’s has substantial strengths. Research themes and leaders are:

Medical Imaging and Computational Modelling - Professor

The fellow, in collaboration with their academic sponsor, will develop a skills training plan with components from one or more of the following areas:

3.
Machine learning, predictive modelling and other big data analytics -
