Cardiff University School of Medicine
Centre for Trials Research
College of Biomedical & Life Sciences

The Centre for Trials Research (CTR) at Cardiff University is the largest group of academic clinical trials staff in Wales, and has earned full UKCRC-registered status. The Centre tackles the big diseases and health concerns of our time, including growing resistance to antibiotics, early cancer diagnosis and how to eliminate health inequalities. It achieves this by forming partnerships with researchers and building lasting relationships with the public, whose participation is essential for the success of studies.

These staff work with other research groups to develop trials from the basic idea through to publication in high-quality journals and disseminating the final results.

For the grade 6 post we are looking for someone who can be responsible for overseeing the statistical/scientific aspects of a range of trials in the portfolio of the CTR. Educated to postgraduate degree at PhD level in a related subject area (or with relevant experience) applicants should have experience in statistical methods and have knowledge of clinical trials, being prepared to oversee trial development as part of an integrated trials group. While for the grade 5 post we are looking for someone educated to graduate or MSc level in a subject with substantial statistical content.
