The ESRC-funded Consumer Data Research Centre<https://www.cdrc.ac.uk/> at the University of Leeds will be offering the following courses in Spring 2018: Tableau Workshop<https://www.cdrc.ac.uk/events/tableau18/> 22nd February 2018 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm Tableau Software, in partnership with the University of Leeds and the Consumer Data Research Centre, is hosting a full-day workshop exclusively for staff and students at Universities around the UK. Tableau Software helps people see and understand data. Learn data visualisation best practices and receive hands-on training in a session delivered by Tableau experts. Introduction to ArcGIS<https://www.cdrc.ac.uk/events/19725/> 19th March 2018 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm This 1 day course provides an introduction to Geographical Information Systems (GIS) using ESRI's ArcGIS version 10.2 software. It provides participants with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with using and navigating the software, as well as focussing on the skills of data entry, data manipulation, editing, analysis and mapping. The emphasis of this course is working with vector data in the context of a variety of socio-economic applications. The course will mix teaching with demonstrations and hands-on exercises.
