Salary Research Associate Grade 7 - £33,518 to £38,833 per annum or Salary Research Fellow Grade 8 - £42,418 to £47,722 per annum

Full-time open ended contract subject to fixed term funding. Funding is available for three years.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious talented and dynamic individual to be awarded an UKRI Innovation / Rutherford Fund Fellowship at HDR UK. The aim of the fellowship is to develop and carry out independent research that aligns with Health Data Research (HDR) UK’s Phase 1 strategic priorities; actionable Health Data Analytics; Precision Medicine; 21st Century Trial Design; Modernising Public Health. In addition, the research should fit into the aims of UK’s industrial strategy (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/life-sciences-industrial-strategy). The fellow will develop and apply novel analytical methods in biostatistics, bioinformatics or genetic epidemiology.

The fellows will have cross-disciplinary supervisory teams, the composition of which will depend on your background and chosen area of skills/methods development.

The post will require high-level expertise in biostatistics and/or bioinformatics and/or genetic epidemiology.

This position is being appointed as either Research Associate (Grade 7) or Research Fellow (Grade 8). Appointment as Research Fellow will require additional experience and have additional accountabilities as described in the job summary.
