Dear Lucas, and all Colleagues & Friends in the Space Syntax Community

Yes, we do we have a moderator on this list, and it is yours truly

Yet, I do not see my role as one of ‘policing’. The list is an open list and anyone can join, there are neither pre-requisites for joining nor nominations required nor even a vetting process. As long as the subscribers adhere to some simple guidelines (which I have sent out a few years back but will include with my message for all new comers to the list) I do not see the need for interception.

This list is an enabling tool to exchange information, ask questions and seek advice, and if some people feel they can do some more freely through an “anonymous" email or even signing as a “Joe Bloggs” or a “Jane Doe” then that’s up to them provided this anonymity is not used negatively

Similarly, everyone is entitled to their own views especially as it is presented in a scientific/academic manner, but once a subscriber does not follow the general Etiquette guidelines then that would be a different story

Best regards to all
Reem

These are practical guidelines, which should help you use JISCmail lists in a way which will most benefit yourself and other people on the list. Not all these guidelines work for all situations, so use your discretion

Hello,

Should we have "anonymous" members in this list?

Dear moderators (do we have any?), what is your position about this?

Best Regards,
