Only the Lonely:
An evening of theatrical provocations, thoughtful discussions and delicious food

As part of the launch events for the new Wellcome Centre for Cultures and Environments of Health (www.exeter.ac.uk/departments/cceh/research/engagedresearch/) at the University of Exeter, we have partnered with the Bike Shed Theatre (https://www.bikeshedtheatre.co.uk/news/lonely-artist-opportunity/) to create an evening exploring the themes of loneliness and social isolation. The event will be held on Monday February 5th 2018, at Exeter Library.

We have three small bursaries (£750) available to support the creation of the three short 'provocations' that will be at the heart of the evening.

What you get:

•	Seed funding of £750 to support the development of a short piece exploring the themes of loneliness and social isolation.

•	The chance to perform your piece at Exeter Library to a free but ticketed audience.

•	Technical support for the performance (but please keep it low tech!).

•	Mentorship from the Bike Shed Theatre's Artist Development Producer Emily Souter Johnson during the development of the piece.

We are happy to accept proposals from theatre makers at all stages of their careers. Send your proposal to [log in to unmask] by December 30th; we will make a decision by January 5th.

It should include
•	250 words about your piece
•	250 words about you or your company including any experience to date
•	details of where you are based
•	future plans for the project if any
•	draft budget
