If they cover social sciences, that should include education and public engagement. Or if they include the discipline covered by the activities (e.g. science) that's appropriate too. We've published on a short paper on an engagement event in SpringerPlus (now closed to new submissions) and are preparing a short paper for BMC Research Notes. There are a few others along these lines, e.g. PLoS ONE, and I think Heliyon. These journals are huge and varied and I suspect are not read regularly as they come out, in the way that subject-specific journals or TES will be. So for a mechanism for people to find the article, you might check the journal is covered in Web of Science and/or PubMed - or as a minimum, Google Scholar. These journals tend to be open-access, which seems particularly sensible for public engagement! The paper is obviously more rigorously checked than a blog and far more permanent. The down-side is, you may have to find funds to pay an open-access charge. Some funders can help with this. - Daniel On 07/12/2017 15:39, Jo Brodie wrote: Posted on behalf of Jeremy :) Jo (psci-com owner) -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: General science and education articles Date: Thu, 7 Dec 2017 12:33:09 +0000 From: Jeremy Thomas <[log in to unmask]><mailto:[log in to unmask]> To: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> Dear All, Can anyone suggest suitable publications for a general science/education readership who would be interested in a story about setting up and running networks of schools and other organisations to run science outreach projects? So, not a science journal and not an education journal - somewhere where the two overlap. There are the obvious places such as TES, Guardian etc but any other suggestions would be welcome.
