My personal view is that we should speak up (and thank you for doing so) but I’m not sure I would stop such posts if I could. I’ve never published anywhere that has astronomical subscription prices but that may be because nothing I do fits in such journals. I also refuse to sign over copyrights to journals. For the most part, I’ve found that they back down on the demand when I fail to fill out the copyright transfer form but I have refused to write something when I was told that policy was firm about it. (It was a T&F publication, if I recall correctly.)
