IMO I think orgs should be looking at self-hosting, or at least double-hosting this kind of stuff (if they’re interested in it being anything other than a transient record of events that they’re not too bothered about losing). If it’s just a throw-away kind of thing then, cool, whatever works best right now. Don’t tell the archivists I said that, though ;-)

Same goes for Google Cultural Institute, Instagram, etc etc.

Related: I’ve just decided to post more on Medium (as the benefits of the platform are very very clear), but am going to dual-post to my own blog (https://help.medium.com/hc/en-us/articles/217991468-SEO-and-duplicate-content) so that I have a full record of anything I write.

Strong as Medium (/any other SaaS) seems right now, it’s only an acquisition/price-change/gated-content decision/“sunset" away from not being a thing any more.

Hi colleagues

We’ve been using Storify for several years, recently to aggregate and embed things like twitter tours onto our blog posts, and internally for pulling together online artist research or media coverage.

But – as of May 2018 it will be no more, so we’re looking at what’s out there and whether any of you have used anything worth recommending or have any experience of:
