Places available for UXLibs in Loughborough 30th January 2018**Apologies for cross posting**

Do you want to implement User Experience techniques in your library service? Register for the CILIP ARLG East Midlands workshop UXLibs-in-a-day led by Andy Priestner. Please note there is one sponsored place available for a librarian working in the FE sector (further details below).

What is UX Research? User eXperience research is all about digging beneath what people actually say about their use of libraries on surveys and in focus groups and examining actual user behaviour in libraries with a view to delivering more relevant and valuable spaces and services.

Aims of the course:

The course does not assume any prior knowledge although those attending with some experience of UX methods are certain to learn new techniques and approaches. Andy Priestner, a librarian by training, is now a full-time freelance trainer and consultant in user experience and leadership. From 2015 to 2017 he led Cambridge’s Futurelib programme which delivered UX-based innovation projects across the University’s libraries. His book ‘User Experience in Libraries’ was published in 2016. He also chairs the UX in Libraries conference, with UXLibsIV taking place in June 2018.

Date and time: Tuesday 30th January 2018 9.30am-5pm (registration with refreshments from 9am, the day will include a 45 minute break for lunch with lunch being provided).

Venue: Loughborough University Library, Epinal Way, Loughborough, LE11 3TU (Free parking available on campus; buses to campus run regularly from the train station).

Cost (inclusive of VAT): £85 for CILIP/ARLG members and £95 for non-members.
