italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies Dear colleagues, Please note the changes we have decided to make regarding the WSC Award. As you will see, the letter from the dissertation’s advisor is no longer required. If you could post the new announcement on the AAIS conference page, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Cosetta and Juliann The AAIS Women’s Studies Caucus (WSC) is pleased to announce a new award. It is open to ABD doctoral students who will present their Women’s Studies doctoral research in any of the WSC sponsored panels at the annual AAIS conference in Sorrento, Italy, June 14-17, 2018. (http://aais.wildapricot.org/conference). The Women’s Studies Caucus will award $500 to the best paper read at the 2018 AAIS conference. Please send your complete paper (15 pages maximum) to the WSC secretary Juliann Vitullo ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) by April 15, 2018. Your paper will then be forwarded, without your name, to the WSC members of the jury. Please, take into consideration that you will have to attend the conference in order to receive the award and that no paper can be read in absentia. The winner will be announced at the Women’s Studies Business meeting at the AAIS conference. In order to establish a preliminary selection, please send the following to Juliann Vitullo ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) by February 1st, 2018: . A 250 word abstract of the proposed paper . A brief statement (150 words maximum) describing how the paper is related to the doctoral dissertation . A brief biography .
