Il ritorno della critica tematica: la famiglia nel romanzo contemporaneo
Si intende esaminare in questa sessione l’immagine della famiglia nel realismo contemporaneo. La fin troppo usata citazione sulle famiglie infelici tratta dall’inizio di Anna Karenina e quanto sia interessante il raccontarne le storie caratterizza l’impianto di alcuni romanzi contemporanei italiani. Fra questi, solo alcuni titoli: La ferocia di Nicola La Gioia, Di questa vita menzognera di Giuseppe Montesano, e Con le peggiori intenzioni di Alessandro Piperno. Il familismo e la rottura di una silenziosa adesione a degli schemi di comportamento –pure implacabilmente narrati- costituiscono l’intera struttura (e) tematica romanzesca. Il realismo concepito come eterna possibilità immaginativa dona al tema della famiglia una rilevanza spesso sottovalutata sia nelle sue dinamiche interne (vari rapporti) che in quelle esterne (rapporto con e nella politica e società) che ne determinano la sua disfunzionalità.
