Lots of good advice on this so far.

I also think it's worth remembering that whilst primary school teachers are
often teaching many subjects (usually only one of which they studied to
degree level) and so often appreciate an outside expert delivering a topic
for them, secondary teachers are teaching 'their' subject. So definitely
focus on offering experiences that they can't - they can deliver
information themselves, but probably don't have access to authentic objects
or places.

We see a lot of secondary visits coming as 'reward' trips at end of
year/term too, so they're more interested in stuff they know the kids will
enjoy than stuff that is 100% curriculum linked. So that's a different type
of trip, and one that usually comes in large groups.
